How
does the dust get into my computer? |
Dust
enters the computer case as unfiltered air. Most computers have a
CPU fan to keep the CPU at a working temperature and a power
supply fan to exhaust heated air our of the case. This creates a
negative air pressure within the case and cool unfiltered dust
laden air is drawn in through air vents, drives and any other
openings around the case and settles on the components. |

What
does dust do to my computer? |
Dust
traps heat on electronic components like an insulating blanket.
Dust builds up on fans, heatsinks and other components trapping
heat causing overheating and failure of components in your
computer. Dust can also cause short circuits and can be a fire hazard. |

How
does the filter work? |
By
introducing a intake case fan and filter, this promotes filtered
air to enter the computer case from just 1 intake (some computers
may require 2 case fans) and eliminates the chance of unfiltered
air being drawn in the case through the air vents etc. |
