We studied the
computer cases we cleaned and noticed that most cases only
had a PSU (power supply unit) fan, extracting air out of the case.
This forced dirty air into the case through vents and other
openings.
By adding a case fan to a
computer this created a primary air intake, which controlled the
air entering the case. All that was needed now was to design and
create some sort of filter.
At this stage we searched for
solutions, but found nothing that would substantially filter the
air. We did find however, that dust is a major problem with many
computer users.
We learnt that a common
filter would greatly restrict the airflow and get dirty too
quickly. So we created a 3 dimensional filter, which allows a
greater airflow due to it's larger area.
Realising the value of these
filters, we quickly started manufacturing them and installed them
into our customers computers, with results that exceeded our
expectations.
